Stewed mushrooms with chestnuts


Ingredients

1 1/2 kilos mushrooms
1/2 kilo onions
1/2 water glass EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
2 medium size tomatoes
3/4 kilo chestnuts
Salt and pepper

Preparation

Clean and rinse the mushrooms well. Heat the olive oil in a pot; add in the mushrooms and the onions chopped coarsely, salt and pepper to taste and saute. Next, add the grated tomatoes. Ten minutes before you take the pot off the stovetop, add the chestnuts that you have previously boiled or braised for approximately 20 minutes.
