French fries with stàka


Ingredients

2 1/2 cups EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
2 large potatoes
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons stàka

Preparation

Peel the potatoes and cut them in thick strips. Season them with salt and mix them well by hand. Cover and let them stand for 40-50 minutes.
Heat the olive oil in a pot or deep frying pan. Carefully transfer the potatoes into the pot or pan and fry them until golden brown. Remove the potatoes using a perforated spatula and transfer them onto a large plate. Top them with the staka and serve immediately.
