Easter koulourakia


6 eggs
½ kg sugar
1 ½ kg flour
50 gr ammonia
320 gr butter
1 envelope vanilla


Preparation: :

Sieve the flour and mix in the vanilla. Beat the butter with the sugar and add the eggs one by one. Dissolve the ammonia in the milk and add to the mixture along with the flour, all in one. When the mixture is consolidated, knead it with your hands to form an elastic, non-sticky dough. Form sausages about half the thickness of a finger and form them into various shapes, such as snails, plaits, wheels etc. Put them on an oiled baking sheet and brush with beaten egg yolk. Bake in a moderate oven for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
