Pork with chickpeas


1 kg pork1 onion

4-5 ripe tomatoes

½ kg chickpeas

1 cup oil

Salt, pepper



The evening before you intend to make the dish, place the chickpeas in a bowl of water and leave them overnight to soften. Cut the meat into small portions, wash it and leave it to drain. Heat the oil in a pan and then sauté the meat and the finely chopped onion together until they brown. Add the tomatoes, also finely chopped, salt, pepper and a little water, and leave the meat to simmer for 10 minutes. Now add the chickpeas and enough water to cover, and leave the dish to simmer until the meat is well done and is left with its sauce.
